• System and performance engineer.
• Responsible for systems design and integration, both mechanical and electronic on various race cars such as F3, CN sports cars (Radical SR3, Ligier) and endurance GT (Supercharged Lotus Elise).
• Extensive use of data logging and analysis tools. Development of analytical methods for performance evaluation and assessment. Worked closely with the race engineer and drivers to improve performance and reliability in all areas of the car.
• Design and maintenance of bespoke Mil-Spec wiring harness.
• Trackside management of the electronic systems, software and fault finding.

Black Falcon Cars, Bucharest Romania – June to September 2011
• Ultima GTR 1400hp supercar: chassis redesign to fit a different engine and cope with the extra power available (more than double the original specified power).
• Data-logging system architecture design and sensor selection as well as fuel, engine cooling and electronic brake system optimization. Installation of electrical equipment, sensors and calibration provisions to the car.
• Drag racing prototype based on BMW M5 E34 car: partial design of chassis and turbo system as well as engine dyno calibration.
• Manage departmental budgetary requirements for the forthcoming season. Dealt directly with suppliers on the purchase negotiation of equipment and parts.

Master Tuner, Bucharest, Romania – June to September 2009 and 2010
• Dealing with advanced automotive electronics, installing and adjusting high performance turbo, supercharged and nitrous systems.
• Custom part design and optimisation, dynamometer testing/ engine mapping, injector characterization.
• Rally car preparation: responsible for the team’s rally and hill-climb car maintenance. Engine preparation and event logistics, as well as race engineering and extensive data analysis.
• Manage and solve electronic problems from race meetings and tests.

Fland Gruppe, Bucharest, Romania – September 2007 to April 2009
• Part of the technical team, dealing with highly sophisticated control and instrumentation equipment. Laboratory based work or on field calibration/repairs.
• Electrical and Electronics installations, data logging and analysis within the R&D department.

Other projects:
• Toyota MR2 race car: build and race within the 750 Motor Club’s MR2 Championship. Currently developing the car for the MSV Team Trophy Championship. Race engineer, driver and team founder. Responsible for car setup and performance development – carbon fibre air intake design, suspension redesign, brake system optimization, data logging system and sensor installation.
